David Goodwin is a pioneer in the classical Christian movement, and co-authored the #1 New York Times Bestseller, Battle for the American Mind, with Pete Hegseth. He helped found The Ambrose School in Meridian, ID. He has been the president of the Association of Classical Christian Schools since 2015. He is the editor of The Classical
David Goodwin is a pioneer in the classical Christian movement, and co-authored the #1 New York Times Bestseller, Battle for the American Mind, with Pete Hegseth. He helped found The Ambrose School in Meridian, ID. He has been the president of the Association of Classical Christian Schools since 2015. He is the editor of The Classical Difference magazine and author of “Discover Classical Christian Education.” His upcoming book, a sequel to Battle..., will offer an insider’s view of why K-12 classical Christian education works. David currently serves on the Board of Academic Advisors for the Classic Learning Test (CLT) and has served as an advisor for the FOX News documentary “The Miseducation of America,” for the National Association of Scholars “American Birthright” standards, and for the Oklahoma Department of Education. He has been a speaker at various events around the country and has written for publications such as The Federalist, The Washington Times, and others. David lives in Boise, Idaho, with his wife, Stormy. They have three adult children, one of whom teaches at a classical Christian school.

David M. Wilmigton Ph.D. taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for 9 years before becoming Academic Dean and Humanities, Spanish, and Theology Teacher at Petra Academy in Bozeman in 2019. In addition to his 6 years teaching in Classical Christian Education in Montana, he also taught for 6 years at the Middle and High School

In addition to his 6 years teaching in Classical Christian Education in Montana, he also taught for 6 years at the Middle and High School levels in both public and private schools in North Carolina. David has published broadly in the areas of theology & ethics as well as popular literature and culture (often incorporating music, film, and literature) - most recently with an article on how the classical model can harmonize with the traditional stages of Christian spiritual development. He has delivered invited lectures to academics and pastors, students and fellow teachers in places as diverse as Bozeman, Singapore, Krakow, Oxford, and Provo. He also plays saxophone, loves good tea and Mexican food, and coaches and plays soccer.
